‘Benjamin’ launches campaign for disadvantaged children

Iran animation film ‘Benjamin’ has launched new campaign to provide opportunity for disadvantaged children.

Iran animation film ‘Benjamin’ by Mohsen Enayati has launched new campaign to provide opportunity for disadvantaged children to go to cinemas.

Close upon the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the crew of the animated piece and some charitable institutions with the participation of people have teamed up to provide opportunity for disadvantaged children to go to cinema and watch ‘Benjamin’ for free.

Produced by Mostafa Hasanabadi, ‘Benjamin’ is currently on screen at Iran cinema halls to make the first animation of the year.

‘Benjamin’s clumsy yet sweet friend, Asher, screws up. This leads to Benjamin’s mother being captured by the king’s soldiers. Benjamin decides to embark on a hazardous journey to save his mother. This makes the beginning of Asher and Benjamin’s adventure,” reads as the plot summery of ‘Benjamin’.

Bahman Sabz Cultural Center, which previously premiered award-winning and widely-respected animations ‘The Elephant King’ and ‘Princess of Rome’, has the broadcast rights agreement of ‘Benjamin’.

It is also worth mentioning that ‘Benjamin’ is the recipient of the best animated creation award from the 32nd edition of the International Film Festival for Children and Youth Awards in Iran.
